A global industrial computing and intelligent edge solutions company is looking for an Application Engineer (Industrial PCs & Embedded Computing Products). The selected candidate will serve as a technical advisor and solution consultant, supporting customers throughout the project lifecycle while collaborating with sales and global engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Support pre-sales activities by understanding customer requirements and recommending optimal technical solutions.
Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution reviews in collaboration with sales teams.
Design and recommend system architectures using Industrial PCs, embedded computers, Edge AI platforms, industrial servers, and networking solutions.
Provide technical support for x86- and ARM-based embedded systems, including implementation, evaluation, testing, debugging, and deployment.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in Windows and Linux environments and assist with performance optimization, system integration, and product selection.
Support business development initiatives across semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, AI, IoT, and robotics markets.
Coordinate with overseas engineering teams to address technical challenges and communicate market feedback.
Requirements
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded systems technical support
Hardware board development
Windows or Linux system development and operation
Customer-facing technical support
Industrial PCs, servers, or networking technologies
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or above.
