The Client Solution Manager role is a pivotal position leading new business pursuits for next-generation automotive products. This role bridges customer requirements with engineering and manufacturing capabilities, shaping innovative solutions that define future mobility technologies.
Responsibilities
Lead new business pursuits for advanced safety and user experience product offerings
Act as the primary interface between engineering teams and customers, ensuring clear communication in both directions
Drive analysis of customer specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Lead concept selection and develop high-level timing plans aligned with customer milestones
Coordinate with manufacturing engineering on product assembly processes and build plans
Develop and document engineering resource requirements and cost estimates for new projects
Identify technical risks and guide the development of mitigation plans while leading technical and quote reviews
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, or related field); a Master’s degree is preferred
Extensive experience in automotive product development, business development, programme management, or customer-facing engineering roles
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through business development and quotation processes
Strong understanding of automotive systems, product architecture, and manufacturing processes
Experience in risk management and bill of materials costing
Proficiency with project planning tools and resource estimation methods
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in customer-facing environments
Ability to translate customer needs into technical specifications and internal deliverables
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in concept selection and risk mitigation
Experience collaborating with finance and sales teams on business case development
Demonstrated leadership in technical reviews and coordination across global teams
Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are advantageous
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Self-motivated, innovative, and accountable with a strong drive to deliver results
