Job Description

Lead merchandising planning activities across assigned product categories and retail networks to ensure optimal product availability and drive sales performance.

  • Develop and manage monthly sales forecasts at the model level, aligning projections with commercial strategies and market dynamics

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to plan new product launches and adjust forecasts to maximize revenue opportunities over a rolling 12-month horizon

  • Define assortment plans and stock targets for each store based on historical performance, market potential, and predefined KPIs

  • Optimize inventory allocation and redistribution across the retail network to improve sell-through and stock turnover

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and build reporting tools to improve operational efficiency and decision-making

  • Support boutique openings, renewals, and closures by planning stock requirements, product mix, and collaborating on store layout and zoning strategies

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance process efficiency, improve visibility, and strengthen team performance through innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

  • Experience in demand forecasting, planning, supply chain operations, or related analytical roles

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights

  • Proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage, ideally SAP
