Job Description
Lead merchandising planning activities across assigned product categories and retail networks to ensure optimal product availability and drive sales performance.
Develop and manage monthly sales forecasts at the model level, aligning projections with commercial strategies and market dynamics
Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to plan new product launches and adjust forecasts to maximize revenue opportunities over a rolling 12-month horizon
Define assortment plans and stock targets for each store based on historical performance, market potential, and predefined KPIs
Optimize inventory allocation and redistribution across the retail network to improve sell-through and stock turnover
Perform data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and build reporting tools to improve operational efficiency and decision-making
Support boutique openings, renewals, and closures by planning stock requirements, product mix, and collaborating on store layout and zoning strategies
Drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance process efficiency, improve visibility, and strengthen team performance through innovation and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Experience in demand forecasting, planning, supply chain operations, or related analytical roles
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
Proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems is an advantage, ideally SAP
