The Distribution Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and optimise end-to-end logistics, distribution, and fulfilment operations within a dynamic consumer-focused organisation. This position will play a key role in launching a new distribution and fulfilment facility while driving operational excellence, scalability, and supply chain performance across multiple sales channels.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end logistics, distribution, and fulfilment operations to ensure efficient product movement across retail and e-commerce channels.
Support the establishment and successful launch of a new distribution and fulfilment facility, contributing to both strategic planning and operational readiness.
Manage and develop relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation partners to improve service levels, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Collaborate with commercial, digital, technology, finance, and compliance teams to strengthen supply chain capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee inventory replenishment, order fulfilment, returns management, and reverse logistics processes to maintain operational excellence.
Contribute to the development and execution of mid- to long-term logistics and distribution strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Build scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth, while driving optimisation through performance monitoring and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Experience leading distribution centres and/or third-party logistics operations within apparel, retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or related sectors.
Strong understanding of both offline and online fulfilment operations, with a demonstrated ability to improve logistics performance, service quality, and productivity.
Experience delivering transformation projects such as new facility launches, process design, operational optimisation, or network expansion.
Knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in operational environments.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners.
Business-level fluency in Japanese and English.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of challenges, and adopt a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Entrepreneurial mindset, high level of integrity, and enthusiasm for building and scaling new operational capabilities.
Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to distribution centre locations as required.
