The Engineering Manager role offers a strategic opportunity to drive the design, development, and delivery of advanced Radar products for automotive applications. This position combines technical oversight with customer engagement to support innovation and ensure high-quality programme execution across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and functional teams to deliver the successful design, development, launch, and maintenance of Radar products

  • Plan and oversee the regional engineering budget and resource footprint for customer programmes

  • Define customer pursuit strategies and support new business development activities

  • Monitor programme performance across multiple customers, consolidating KPIs and managing escalations where required

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through ongoing engagement and communication

  • Act as the escalation point for engineering and programme management teams

  • Contribute to strategy reviews, process improvements, and organisational efficiency initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering Management is advantageous

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in automotive electronics

  • At least 5 years in project or engineering leadership roles

  • Proven experience in the design, development, or management of automotive Radar products

  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken

  • Japanese language proficiency at native or business level, with understanding of local OEM business practices
