The Field Application Engineer - Catapult role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of high-level synthesis and verification technologies within the electronic design automation industry. This position combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and solution consulting, playing a key role in helping customers address complex design challenges while supporting the adoption of advanced engineering software solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and application support for High-Level Synthesis and Verification solutions.
Understand customers’ design environments, technical challenges, and potential requirements.
Develop and deliver solution proposals aligned with customer needs.
Support product evaluations, technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer discussions.
Assist sales and marketing teams with technical expertise throughout the business development process.
Investigate technical issues and provide practical recommendations and solutions.
Collect customer feedback and communicate relevant requirements to global development teams.
Contribute to product improvement and customer satisfaction by connecting customer needs with product development.
Prepare technical presentations and respond to questions from customers and internal stakeholders.
Support customers across Japan, including domestic business travel when required.
Requirements
Technical college diploma, bachelor's degree, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Ability to read and understand RTL descriptions written in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
Ability to read and understand C++ or SystemC code.
Understanding of logic and functional verification concepts and methodologies.
Experience creating presentation materials and presenting technical information to an audience.
Experience with scripting in Linux or Unix environments using Tcl, Perl, Python, or an equivalent language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically.
Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 or above.
Ability to understand English technical documentation and communicate with overseas development teams primarily by email.
