The FP&A Manager role is an excellent opportunity to take on a highly visible finance leadership position within a global organisation specialising in analytical instruments and related services. Acting as a strategic business partner to senior commercial leaders and international finance stakeholders, you will drive financial performance, support business strategy execution, and lead a team across multiple business divisions.
Responsibilities
Lead all Financial Planning & Analysis activities for assigned business divisions within Japan.
Partner closely with senior commercial leadership to provide financial insights that support business growth and performance improvement.
Deliver accurate financial analysis, forecasting, planning, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities, translating data into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with regional and global finance teams within a matrix organisation to ensure alignment of financial objectives.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting quality, and business performance management.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of three direct reports while fostering a high-performing finance function.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role.
Previous people management experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work successfully within a global matrix organisation and a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in both English and Japanese.
Experience using ERP systems and financial planning or analysis tools is preferred.
