The Field Service Engineer role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of paint application technology within advanced production environments. This position focuses on maintaining stable operations, resolving technical challenges, and building long-term partnerships with customers across a range of manufacturing settings.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of paint application systems to ensure stable production operations at customer sites
Support service business growth through spare parts sales, digital solutions, and ongoing customer engagement
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers while supporting service budgeting activities
Conduct preventive maintenance, component overhaul, and on-site replacement work in collaboration with customers and contractors
Analyse root causes of technical issues and implement effective countermeasures across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Develop proposals for system upgrades, modifications, and optimisation, including cost planning and quotation preparation
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including technical experts and subcontractors, to support project execution
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Approximately five years of practical experience in process engineering within automotive or general industrial projects
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for maintenance and troubleshooting
Knowledge of production processes and control systems, including PLCs, ladder programming, or C++
Experience with paint application systems or automated production environments is advantageous
Ability to perform root cause analysis and execute corrective actions in production settings
Strong communication skills in English for coordination with international teams and customers
Experience in working with subcontractors and supporting service-related business development
Familiarity with engineering tools such as Mitsubishi or Siemens PLCs and AutoCAD
Valid driving licence and ability to travel domestically, with occasional overseas travel
