Job Description
- Play a key role in improving the enterprise-wide risk management framework within the Operational Risk Management Division.
- Strengthen first-line risk management by supporting control understanding and enhancing risk data quality.
- Promote a strong risk culture through the internal program and deliver education and training initiatives.
- Facilitate timely and effective escalation of risk issues by building trust and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including senior management.
- Lead cross-divisional collaboration to increase the effectiveness of risk management practices.
- Manage and develop the ORM team by providing training, upskilling, and supporting career growth to enhance expertise and performance.
- Oversee operational risk, fraud risk, backlog management, financial risk reporting, and support the Risk Management Committee.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in operational risk management, internal controls, auditing, or related fields, preferably within life insurance
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive successful project delivery
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and talent development
- Adaptable and proactive approach to thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Deep understanding of risk culture integration and hands-on experience with organizational change and cultural transformation
- Solid project management skills combined with comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry operations
- Native Japanese and oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English
