Job Description
Oversee procurement activities for third-party products and services, managing significant supplier spend while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and reliable delivery
Drive supplier consolidation, lead negotiations, and implement cost optimization initiatives to achieve continuous productivity improvements
Maintain a strong pipeline of productivity initiatives with clear visibility on financial impact and contribution to sustainable performance
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business leaders, service teams, quality assurance, and legal to represent procurement effectively
Balance project-based sourcing with category management, promoting standardized solutions and enhancing procurement value
Ensure full compliance with local regulations, internal quality systems, and procurement policies
Lead supplier management initiatives including segmentation, risk management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
Identify and implement process optimization opportunities to strengthen procurement efficiency and support local strategy execution
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project management within a global environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related field
Proven experience in managing stakeholders and collaborating within multicultural teams
Knowledge of IT system integrators, software and hardware equipment, and related services such as installation and repair
Experience in sales or marketing is an advantage
Familiarity with lean methodologies or change acceleration frameworks
Strong business acumen with a collaborative and inclusive mindset
Customer-focused approach with a strong commitment to compliance
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency (minimum TOEIC 750)
