The Mechanical Engineer role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full product design lifecycle of advanced vehicle systems. Responsibilities
Support the mechanical engineering development of vehicles and associated systems
Contribute to the design of external sensor suites, compute assemblies, and vehicle interiors
Conduct structural and thermal analysis to validate mechanical designs
Own design, analysis, and validation activities from component level through to fully integrated vehicle systems
Design solutions with a focus on scalability and manufacturability
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure mechanical designs meet organisational requirements
Perform hands-on validation to confirm components can be installed and function correctly within vehicles
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fluency in English and Japanese, both written and verbal, with the ability to operate in a bilingual environment
At least 2 years of experience designing hardware and delivering products
Demonstrated experience with FEA or CAE analysis
Experience in hardware reliability and testing
Knowledge of CNC machining, metalworking, or welding
Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance
Experience working with vehicle sensors such as cameras, radars, or lidars
Ability to design, draw, and prototype custom harness cables
Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks
Experience executing test procedures, producing technical documentation, and supporting test fixture design and assembly
NVH experience is advantageous
