The New Product Design Engineer role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative interconnect and connectivity products for global markets. This position plays an important part in the full product development lifecycle, from concept creation and design validation through to manufacturing support, while collaborating with international engineering and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
Design and develop connector products, including board-to-board, cable, power, high-speed, and panel-mount solutions.
Support new product development activities and resolve design or quality-related issues.
Create and maintain engineering documentation, design files, and product models.
Conduct design reviews and perform engineering analyses to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Supplier teams throughout the product development process.
Develop engineering cost analyses and support product feasibility assessments.
Work closely with global engineering teams to deliver innovative product solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in connector design, connector manufacturing, or related product development fields.
Experience with component design, assembly design, or manufacturing engineering.
Experience designing products involving plastic injection moulding and progressive die stamping.
Proficiency with engineering design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD tools.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
