Job Description
Develop and maintain sourcing strategies that align with business needs and organizational objectives.
Collaborate with internal departments to select optimal external partners through bidding, negotiation, and contract management while ensuring strong internal controls.
Provide guidance on company policies, procurement processes, and risk management to internal stakeholders.
Offer sourcing expertise to business partners to support strategic planning, supplier evaluation, and decision making.
Conduct spend and savings analysis, prepare reports, and support annual business planning activities.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuous and reliable service delivery.
Understand commercial strategies, governance processes, and operational requirements to support overall business goals.

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, business, finance, supply chain, or procurement.
Minimum three years of experience in procurement, external supply, or manufacturing of related materials, or experience in pharmaceutical operations or technical services.
Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese and English.
Ability to work on-site at the Kobe headquarters.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical research and development is preferred.
Experience collaborating with suppliers in commercial, technical, or governance contexts.
Ability to balance requirements, schedules, pricing, and quality in decision making.
Strong business acumen, presentation abilities, communication skills, and project management capability.
Ability to influence decision making internally and externally.
Experience working across multiple functions.
Negotiation experience and familiarity with SAP or Ariba procurement systems are preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint, and AI tools.
Fluency in Japanese and English with strong communication and presentation skills.
