Job Description
You will be a member of the Commercial Excellence (CommEx) team. As an independent, cross functional specialist organization, CommEx serves as a strategic partner that drives the maximization of Japan’s performance by providing enterprise wide commercial management capabilities.
Your mission is to enhance business unit performance and contribute to the sustainable growth of Japan through data visualization and analysis of sales and field activities, as well as optimization of business processes.
Under the guidance of the manager, you will work closely with business units (headquarters and field teams) and corporate functions to identify potential challenges in commercial activities and design and implement solutions to address them.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Conduct hypothesis testing and support business decision making and execution of business plans by analyzing a wide range of data, including customer information, case data, and activity history, in collaboration with business units.
- Provide timely and accurate data essential for understanding business performance.
- Develop intuitive and visually compelling dashboards, and continuously improve them based on user feedback.
- Consolidate requirements for the development or enhancement of internal systems- including Salesforce.com- and coordinate with IT, ensuring effective management of timelines, quality, and overall execution.
- Plan and execute cross functional projects such as data integration, process standardization, workflow automation, and dashboard modernization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :
What You’ll Need (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Practical skills in data aggregation and analysis using Excel (functions, pivot tables, etc.).
- Ability to create presentation materials and manuals using PowerPoint.
- Experience independently managing the full cycle of meetings, including agenda creation, facilitation, and documentation of decisions and issues.
- Experience leading project planning, schedule management, and issue/quality management in a consulting firm or business organization.
- Japanese: Business level or higher; English: Business level (daily conversational level acceptable with strong motivation to learn).
- Ability to remain flexible, prioritize effectively, and take on challenges with a positive mindset in a rapidly changing environment.
- A learning mindset, with the ability to proactively engage in unfamiliar tasks and complete them while seeking support when necessary.
- Alignment with and contribution to a “psychologically safe organization” where members understand and trust one another and exchange candid feedback.
What Else We Look For (Preferred)
- Experience developing dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI and delivering them to internal or external stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to identify and resolve issues through dialogue with diverse stakeholders, beyond data analysis alone.
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
