A global robotics and industrial automation company is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Functional Safety. The selected candidate will develop safety-critical embedded software and contribute to functional safety systems from the early design phase through product realization.
Responsibilities
Develop embedded software for functional safety systems used in robotics applications.
Design software components and system architecture in accordance with functional safety standards.
Develop and evaluate software frameworks and network communication programs using safety protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, robotics, and testing to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Support verification and validation activities for functional safety systems.
Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from early-stage design through product realization.
Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software implementation and verification for functional safety systems.
Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems design.
Strong understanding of multicore hardware, real-time operating systems such as Zephyr/Linux, concurrency, interrupts, and device drivers.
Experience in industrial network programming and safety protocols, including IEC 61508 and IEC 61784-3.
Business-level English proficiency.
Preferred:
Experience in industrial PC design.
Experience developing Linux kernel modules.
Experience using static code analysis tools.
