The Senior Manager for Application & Business Partner team role is a strategic leadership position driving digital transformation across multiple business entities. You will act as a key bridge between business and IT, delivering impactful solutions while leading a team and overseeing critical application projects in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and technology solutions
Build strong partnerships with multiple entities and shared service functions to understand needs and deliver effective outcomes
Lead and manage medium to large-scale application projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
Develop project scope, define detailed plans, and monitor progress across multiple initiatives
Collaborate with local and global teams to adapt and implement global solutions to meet local requirements
Identify opportunities for improvement and initiate solutions that enhance business performance and client satisfaction
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering growth and continuous improvement
Requirements
Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects for at least five years
Minimum three years of team management experience
Strong vendor management capability, including hands-on experience with RFP processes
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements
Strong focus on project success and client satisfaction
Adaptability and motivation to drive continuous improvement
Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment
Japanese language proficiency at native level and English at business level
Preferred qualifications include experience in business process improvement, familiarity with application development frameworks, knowledge of IT service management concepts, and relevant academic or professional certifications.
