The System Technical Project Manager role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge ADAS system development projects within a global automotive technology environment. This position plays a key role in aligning customer requirements with technical development activities, while coordinating international engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery from development through to production launch.
Responsibilities
Lead technical project management activities for ADAS system development projects, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and project objectives.
Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, coordinating requirements, resolving technical issues, and proposing effective solutions.
Drive development activities in collaboration with system, software, hardware, and quality teams.
Coordinate and manage development activities across global engineering locations to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversee project planning, schedule management, risk management, and cost management to support successful product delivery.
Facilitate technical negotiations and communication between customers, internal teams, and international stakeholders.
Support projects from the development phase through production launch while contributing to long-term project success.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Native-level Japanese communication skills.
Business-level English proficiency.
Experience in project management, hardware development, software development, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience communicating and negotiating directly with customers.
Engineering knowledge in mechanical, electrical/electronic, chemical, software engineering, or related technical fields.
Strong logical thinking and technical problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work proactively, deliver results, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification.
Experience managing ADAS projects.
Knowledge of AI-related technologies.
Valid driving skills for vehicle evaluation activities.
