The Acquisition and Growth Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic investments and expansion initiatives within a growing energy platform. This position plays a key part in driving mergers and acquisitions activities, financial analysis, and project execution to support long-term growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities, conduct market research, and maintain a strong pipeline of investments
Support due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal assessments, working closely with internal teams and external advisors
Build and analyse financial models to assess investment viability and potential returns, applying relevant valuation methodologies
Assist in managing end-to-end M&A transactions, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and effective stakeholder communication
Support project financing processes from origination through to financial close, including coordination with lenders and tracking financing obligations
Contribute to financial planning and analysis activities, including investment performance reviews and annual budgeting
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA preferred
At least three years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or private equity, ideally covering power, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects
Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation capabilities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Fluency in both English and Japanese
