Job Description
Act as a strategic partner to the business unit by delivering commercial insights, forecasting, and analytics that support brand growth and performance.
Drive customer insights and competitive intelligence by planning and executing primary market research, translating findings into actionable recommendations that influence marketing and sales strategies.
Develop and maintain short- and long-term forecasting models, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative market data, and align projections with business stakeholders.
Perform national and subnational data analysis, including KPI tracking, reporting, and deep-dive analytics to address key business questions and uncover opportunities.
Leverage real-world data and third-party data sources to generate meaningful insights and enhance decision-making.
Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, medical, regulatory, and other teams to provide an objective and analytical perspective on business challenges.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outputs while adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
Qualifications
Experience in sales forecasting within a pharmaceutical company in Japan for at least 2–3 years, or experience in a management consulting firm for 2 or more years
Strong analytical capabilities, including knowledge of statistics, machine learning, Tableau, SQL, and Python
Proven ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions based on data and insights
Experience working with industry data sources such as JD-Net, IQVIA, Ultmarc, MDV, or JMDC
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present insights clearly
Proficiency in English at a business level, including presentation skills
Project management skills with experience in planning, execution, and delivery of multiple initiatives
Ability to translate business needs into analytical approaches and actionable insights
