The Buyer / Procurement role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting efficient procurement operations within a global organisation in the energy management and building solutions industry. Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into purchasing requirements.
Carry out purchasing activities, including preparing and approving purchase orders within defined authority limits.
Procure required goods and services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal user departments to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
Ensure procured goods and services meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements, and arrange timely delivery.
Participate in supplier evaluation meetings with Asia-Pacific and global teams.
Report cost reduction and efficiency improvement achievements, identify opportunities for further optimisation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with purchasing ethics standards, Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404, ISO standards, company policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
Essential
Minimum 3 years of practical experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain-related operations.
Experience within the construction, facilities/equipment, or manufacturing industries.
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate and negotiate requirements and conditions with both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in standard PC applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
English language skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate at a basic conversational level.
Preferred
Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, or manufacturers.
Understanding of construction sites and project-based operations.
