Job Description

  • Coordinate internal project requests by assessing data center resource availability, including rack space, power capacity, and scheduling

  • Oversee allocation of infrastructure resources to support hardware installation and business unit requirements

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for data center operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and resource management for onsite staff

  • Manage inventory, procurement, and logistics of equipment and tools to ensure smooth ongoing operations

  • Maintain and update operational policies, documentation, and training programs for data center staff

  • Monitor data center performance and incidents, analyze infrastructure data related to power and cooling, and create reports to support decision-making

  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with operational standards and support security audits

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, introduce new tools, implement cost-reduction strategies, and promote energy-efficient operations

Qualifications

  • Experience as a facility engineer, ideally within data center environments (7–10 years)

  • Experience in team or people management with proven leadership capabilities (3–5 years)

  • Project management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders

  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (English equivalent to TOEIC 800 or higher)

  • Knowledge or academic background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering is advantageous

  • Expertise or research experience in power electronics is desirable

  • Relevant certifications such as electrical construction management engineer, energy management qualification, or certified electrical chief engineer are preferred
