The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Engineer role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative driver assistance functionalities using radar and video sensing technologies. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced driver assistance functionalities using radar and video sensor technologies.

  • Drive system-level development activities from requirements analysis through design, implementation, validation, and testing.

  • Collaborate with customers to define requirements and translate technical needs into effective system solutions.

  • Evaluate system performance and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality products.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality, development efficiency, and engineering processes.

  • Work closely with cross-functional and international teams to achieve project objectives.

  • Monitor emerging technologies and incorporate innovative approaches into development practices where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience in system or software development within automotive or embedded software environments.

  • At least one year of experience in system or software design.

  • Business-level Japanese language proficiency.

  • Business-level English communication skills, including technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.

  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with a results-oriented approach.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of projects while collaborating effectively across teams.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality, particularly within safety-related systems.

  • Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset in a rapidly evolving technical environment.

  • Experience with C or C++ development is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of modelling tools or development support tools such as version control systems is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with simulation tools, requirements management tools, or vehicle communication analysis tools is an advantage.
