Job Description
Play a key role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You will contribute to building strong partnerships across the organization and support the execution of sourcing strategies aligned with global policies and business goals.
Support end-to-end sourcing processes for assigned categories, including RFx activities and contract negotiations for business and pricing terms
Collaborate with business partners, contract managers, and legal teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies and category plans
Conduct cost-benefit and financial analyses, identifying opportunities for quality improvements and continuous cost optimization
Manage supplier relationships, including purchase order execution, issue resolution, and schedule adjustments
Contribute to cross-functional sourcing projects, translating business needs into contract documentation such as SOWs, LOAs, and RFPs
Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure alignment between supplier capabilities and business requirements
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and delivery of high-quality services
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Over three years of experience in strategic sourcing within IT-related categories, or experience managing IT infrastructure in an IT department
Knowledge of sourcing methodologies such as category management, benchmarking, TCO analysis, and RFx processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive improvements
Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across teams
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of business needs
