The Learning & Development Specialist role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving talent development and learning initiatives within a global organisation in the insurance and financial services industry. This position is ideal for an experienced L&D professional who enjoys collaborating with international stakeholders, managing impactful learning programmes, and supporting the development of future talent across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and delivery of global talent development and learning programmes in Japan, including leadership development, AI-related learning initiatives, and programmes for high-potential talent.

  • Manage programme schedules, milestones, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution to ensure successful programme delivery.

  • Collaborate with global teams and external vendors, using both Japanese and English, to execute learning and development projects effectively.

  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to drive engagement, adoption, and long-term impact of learning initiatives.

  • Manage end-to-end programme operations, including participant support, communications, coordination, and progress tracking.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing learning programmes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Localise training materials and communications in both Japanese and English to improve quality and relevance for local audiences.

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in learning and development, talent development, training, or a related HR/L&D function.

  • Strong project management capabilities.

  • Experience supporting the localisation and implementation of global programmes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across different functions and organisational levels.

  • Experience collaborating with external vendors and internal business partners.
