The Business Development / Project Manager role offers the opportunity to drive the adoption of cutting-edge Physical AI and robotics technologies in the Japanese market. This position combines business development, project management, and strategic partnership building, working closely with major enterprises, robotics partners, and global teams to accelerate commercialisation and innovation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop and promote data acquisition projects and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives leveraging robotics foundation model technologies.
Lead business discussions, proposal development, contract negotiations, and partnership agreements.
Manage projects following contract execution, including planning, implementation, progress tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Design business models and commercial frameworks tailored to the Japanese market.
Conduct market research on robotics, humanoids, and Physical AI technologies.
Build and strengthen relationships with strategic partners through industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities.
Collaborate closely with global teams to execute business initiatives and project deliverables.
Provide market insights and customer feedback to support future product development and business strategy.
Requirements
Experience managing the full B2B sales cycle, from proposal development through to contract closure.
Experience selling or implementing one of the following solutions for industrial customers:
Industrial, collaborative, or service robots
Machine vision or image recognition solutions
AI, automation, or smart manufacturing solutions
Native-level Japanese communication skills.
Strong customer engagement, negotiation, and project management capabilities.
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and independently drive projects forward.
