Job Description Regional Sales Manager
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead strategic business development with key EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contractors in Japan and South Korea.
This role is critical to expanding our order intake for combustion technologies and mass transfer solutions by positioning our company as a preferred partner from early project stages.
The position will start as a senior individual contributor role, with a clear path to people management and regional team leadership as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
:Business Development & EPC Engagement
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with selected EPC contractors in Japan and South Korea
- Engage with EPCs from FEED stage, providing technical and commercial support to influence project specifications
- Promote company's technologies and services to achieve preferred vendor / preferred specification positioning
Project & Opportunity Management:
- Identify and prioritize high-value project opportunities in collaboration with global sales teams
- Lead Bid-to-End discussions, including commercial strategy, risk assessment, and internal alignment
- Work closely with project management and legal teams to develop low-risk, competitive contracts
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with global sales managers, technical experts, and supply chain teams
- Ensure effective internal communication to align on strategy, resources, and execution
- Maintain accurate forecasts and opportunity data in Salesforce (SFDC) Market Development
- Provide product introductions and technical training to EPC engineers to expand long-term influence
- Actively communicate company’s unique local service capabilities to differentiate from competitors
Success Metrics
- Annual order intake exceeding USD 5 million, primarily driven by EPC-related projects in Japan and South Korea
- Development of a robust, sustainable project pipeline
- Increased specification-in positions and preferred partner recognition among target EPCs
- High-quality opportunity management and forecasting accuracy
Role Scope & Career Growth:
- Initial phase: Senior Individual Contributor focusing on strategic EPC accounts
- Growth phase: Expansion into people management, leading a regional
team
- Japan: approximately 6 members
- South Korea: approximately 1 member
- Long-term potential to take on broader regional or business leadership roles

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :
■ Skills/Experiences/Mindset
<Must have>
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of B2B industrial sales and/or project experience, preferably with EPC contractors
- Strong understanding of engineered-to-order products and long sales cycles
- Fluency in Japanese and English (business and technical level)
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- High level of maturity, pragmatism, and self-driven ownership
- Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to influence across cultures and functions
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrix, and global environment
<Nice to have>
- Experience in refining, chemical and petrochemical engineering
- Experience in combustion systems or Mass Transfer technologies
- Knowledge of industrial contracts, pricing strategies, and risk management
■ Language Skills
<Must have>
- Japanese:business level (prefer native Japanese)
- English: business level
- Korean language ability is a strong plus
