An AI technology company providing recruitment automation solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will build scalable AI-powered product features across the full stack and contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and evaluation to production deployment and operation.
Responsibilities
Design and develop AI-powered product features across the full technology stack, including backend services and user-facing experiences.
Build production-grade AI pipelines using large language models, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation frameworks.
Work with product managers and clients to understand business challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Rapidly prototype, evaluate, and iterate on ideas to validate product concepts and accelerate delivery.
Operate and maintain production services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and observability.
Contribute to architectural decisions and help establish engineering best practices across the development team.
Participate in the development of scalable AI products throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Requirements
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Strong backend or full-stack development experience using technologies such as TypeScript, Next.js, Python, or Java.
Experience building and deploying cloud-based systems on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Practical experience with modern large language model technologies, including prompt engineering.
Ability to deliver AI product features end-to-end, from prototyping and evaluation through production deployment.
Solid knowledge of relational databases and experience with diverse data sources, including APIs, data warehouses, unstructured data, and streaming data.
Experience designing and integrating systems using APIs, event-driven architectures, or service-oriented architectures.
Experience building MVPs or launching products in a high-growth or startup environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English.
Comfortable working in fast-changing, ambiguous environments with a high level of ownership.
Curious, resourceful, collaborative, and motivated to solve complex technical challenges through rapid iteration.
Preferred:
Experience with generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or Milvus.
Experience building retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, evaluation frameworks, or agent-based workflows.
Knowledge of machine learning or data platforms such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, Databricks, or Azure ML, as well as MLOps practices.
Experience with distributed computing technologies such as Spark, Dask, or Flink, or streaming platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis.
Understanding of DataOps principles, including pipeline monitoring, data testing, and observability tools.
