The Software Engineer (AI Server) role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced system software for high-performance AI computing environments. Working across server infrastructure, hardware integration, and software optimisation, this position plays a key role in delivering reliable and scalable AI server platforms in collaboration with global engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain system software for AI server platforms.
Manage BIOS and Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) control systems to support stable and efficient operations.
Implement, monitor, and maintain IPMI and Redfish APIs alongside hardware monitoring solutions.
Design, develop, and verify Linux device drivers and kernel modules.
Integrate and optimise software for GPUs and AI accelerators to improve system performance.
Tune, debug, and support AI software libraries including CUDA, NCCL, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Support the deployment and automation of infrastructure and cluster management environments using tools such as Ubuntu, Slurm, Kubernetes, PXE, Ansible, and Kickstart, while collaborating with internal teams and customers on technical matters.
Requirements
Experience in software development within Linux environments using C, C++, Python, and Bash.
Knowledge of x86 server architecture and hardware control systems.
Understanding of GPU-based and accelerator-based computing environments.
Experience with system programming, including Linux kernel development and device drivers.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Ability to create and maintain technical documentation in both English and Japanese.
Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
