The Sr. Principal Application Engineer – Design Verification role offers the opportunity to work with advanced verification, emulation and acceleration technologies within the semiconductor industry. This position plays an important part in helping customers evaluate, adopt and successfully deploy leading design verification solutions while collaborating closely with sales, engineering and product teams. It is ideal for technically strong professionals who enjoy combining deep engineering expertise with customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Support the sales team in identifying and developing opportunities for verification, emulation and acceleration solutions.
Lead technical evaluations, benchmarking activities and proof-of-concept projects with customers.
Provide technical consulting and support throughout customer design and verification projects.
Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and training programmes.
Assist customers in addressing technical challenges and improving design verification methodologies.
Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to communicate customer requirements and product enhancement opportunities.
Support the adoption of advanced verification technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in semiconductor design or verification.
Experience with Verilog and/or VHDL-based IP or SoC design.
Knowledge of design verification using SystemVerilog, VHDL and HDL simulation environments.
Strong Japanese communication skills, both written and spoken.
Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
