Job Description

  • Define and specify system architecture designs for connectivity or telematics systems based on project and product requirements

  • Present system, hardware, and software concepts during early project phases and after project award to internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Lead technical presentations and workshops, facilitating alignment between engineering, sales, program management, and customers

  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and assess their impact on overall system architecture and resources

  • Develop high-level and detailed system concepts, including related specifications and functional safety architectures

  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive system development

  • Provide guidance and support to architects and developers, ensuring architectural requirements are effectively implemented and validated

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Professional experience in architecture definition and development of systems for connectivity or telematics

  • Strong understanding of system architecture styles, design principles, and the ability to evaluate technical challenges at a system level

  • Solid background in SoCs, MCUs, networks, and hardware and software architectures

  • Experience with modeling tools and methodologies such as UML or SysML and model-based system engineering

  • Familiarity with tools such as Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, Jira, Confluence, Git, SVN, or similar

  • Knowledge or experience with ISO 21434, ISO 26262, and functional safety concepts

  • Fluent communication skills in both Japanese and English

Preferred experience:

  • Understanding of automotive system requirements and Tier-1 market dynamics

  • Experience with infotainment, digital cockpit, driver information, or ADAS systems

  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems such as QNX, Linux, or Android

  • Knowledge of FMEA or DFMEA methodologies and A-SPICE processes

  • German language skills
