The Trade Marketing Manager role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving retail excellence, category growth, and customer development across multiple sales channels. Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of retail environment strategies and ensure effective execution across pet specialty, home centre, breeder, and e-commerce channels.
Develop customer strategies, investment plans, and action plans while monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation.
Lead and support retail category development initiatives, including customer programmes, in-store merchandising tools, and commercial execution plans.
Manage key customer programmes and support business planning, reporting, and customer engagement activities.
Track key performance indicators and provide insights to improve customer development initiatives and retail execution.
Build and manage store coverage plans while ensuring effective deployment of field merchandising resources.
Partner with sales, marketing, customer service, logistics, and finance teams to develop and execute commercial programmes.
Lead cross-functional projects and drive continuous improvement through strong stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, customer development, trade marketing, retail marketing, customer marketing, or related commercial functions.
Strong understanding of retail environments, customer development, shopper behaviour, and category management.
Proven project management and leadership skills with experience working across multiple functions.
Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and manage ambiguity effectively.
Business-level English communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and related business tools.
Experience leading teams or cross-functional projects is preferred.
