The Visual Merchandising Senior Manager role offers the opportunity to lead visual merchandising strategy across Japan and Korea for a globally recognised fashion and accessories business. This position plays a key role in ensuring a premium and consistent brand experience across all store formats while partnering closely with global and local stakeholders to drive commercial success, customer engagement, and team development.

Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement local visual merchandising strategies aligned with global brand standards.

  • Collaborate closely with the Global Visual Merchandising team to localise and execute seasonal campaigns and window displays.

  • Ensure consistent and compelling visual presentation across full-price and outlet stores.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, and other departments to support customer experience and sales objectives.

  • Align local visual merchandising guidelines with product and buying strategies.

Store Openings, Renovations & Events

  • Lead visual merchandising planning and execution for store openings, refurbishments, pop-up stores, and special events.

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop the Visual Merchandising team.

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to drive high performance.

  • Lead the VM Expert Programme and develop visual merchandising talent within retail stores.

Budget & Project Management

  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.

  • Oversee project timelines, execution, reporting, and performance evaluation.

Business Growth & Innovation

  • Develop creative initiatives to increase store traffic and support sales growth.

  • Present innovative visual concepts and business-building ideas to regional and global leadership teams.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Visual Merchandising experience within luxury fashion, Ready-to-Wear, handbags, leather goods, or premium retail brands.

  • Experience managing store openings, refurbishments, pop-up stores, or special retail projects.

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.

  • Experience working within a multinational or international organisation is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of visual merchandising principles and retail presentation.

  • Strong understanding of customer journey and luxury retail experience.

  • Budget management and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
