The VP to Executive Director, Internal Audit role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact audit activities within a market-leading securities organisation. Responsibilities
Lead internal audits across finance and accounting teams.
Plan and execute audits, including testing, reviews and reporting activities.
Assess processes and controls to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare audit documentation and audit reports in both Japanese and English.
Follow up on audit findings and monitor remediation progress.
Manage audit projects, timelines, resource allocation and team deliverables.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and global audit teams to discuss findings and agree on improvement actions.
Requirements
8+ years of audit experience within a Big Four firm or a large financial institution.
At least 3 years of experience managing audit projects, including planning, resource allocation and progress tracking.
Proven experience leading audits from planning through to completion.
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong ethical standards with a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
CPA, CIA, CMA or similar professional qualifications are advantageous.
