Responsibilities :

・To maintain and strengthen influential relationships with targeted Japanese OEMs in support of the strategies for product groups ATF, PCMO and MCO.
・Contribute to the positioning of Afton as the first port of call for advice, consultation and partnership opportunities regarding new technology & Industry developments, enabling Afton to extract demonstrable commercial value from these relationships (e.g. factory fill positions, service fill approvals, genuine oil positions).

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS:
・Demonstrates knowledge of market trends and OEM business environment
・Demonstrates a working knowledge of the additive industry and basic knowledge of additive chemistry
・Demonstrates the ability to interpret OEM’s mechanical language to Afton’s chemical language
・Demonstrates working knowledge of emissions standards and control systems
・Demonstrates basic understanding of lubricant dynamics, internal combustion engines and automotive power train hardware
・Demonstrates the high potential for the leadership with regard to application, hardware & to some extent additive & finished fluid formulating. Has a broad knowledge of the components used across Afton, including strengths, weaknesses, EHS concerns, etc. Clear track record of guiding the SBU and delivering excellent FF & SF products against demanding benchmarks.
・Demonstrate computer literacy with regard to Afton's routing applications
・Able to develop and maintain effective organizational relationships
・Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
・Able to cope with stress and multiple work interruptions
・Able to effectively handle more than one project at a time
・Able to travel as required
