Responsibilities :

- The Account Manager must be proactive and takes full lead in selling and promoting Japan’s product portfolio within a defined market segment (s).

e.g. Excipients, API, Biopharma ingredients, Active Nutraceuticals Ingredients, API intermediates.

- The position-holder will uncover growth potential by effectively managing relationship with existing and new customers

◆Position within the company? The Account Manager reports to the Business Unit Manager.

◆Job Responsibilities?
- Initiate and drive new business growth in line with agreed strategy and targets
- Communicate with suppliers in an effective and professional manner
- Make well-informed Sales/Gross Margin forecast based on current and potential business
- Build and maintain relationship with key customer(s) to for long-term growth
- Localize product information into Japanese and organize product workshops for local customers
- As a key coordinator, efficiently communicate internally with colleagues and externally with customers and suppliers.

Location: Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan
Employment Type: Full-Time Employee
Salary: Up to 8.5mil annual OTE (excluding over-time)
Working Style: Hybrid Work allowed; No full-remote. Core time and Flex Time.
Commute Allowance: Fully Covered.

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :

◆Requirements?
A) Minimum 3 years experience of technical sales and/or business development for pharmaceuticals or nutraceuticals industry, in particular, handling “specialty active and functional ingredients” including the communication with R&D staff with technical understandings.
- Strong industry network, including 2nd or 3rd tier local customers
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial process operation, including import/stock and distribution

B) Minimum 4 years experience of drug formulation (e.g. OSD, Topical, Bio)
- Experience of teamwork with marketing/sales department For both A) and B)
- Fluent English & Japanese, both written and spoken
- Quick learner and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to leverage all levels within a matrix organization
- Motivated and ambitious.
