<Duties and Responsibilities>

・Develops strategies for the introduction of new products
Research market trends (epidemiology, treatment trends, customer characteristics, competitive landscape, etc.) for the product

・Identify KOLs for the product and work with sales to build and maintain good relationships and obtain input for strategy development

・Develop marketing strategy (segmentation, targeting, promotions, etc.) for the product

・Develop sales strategy for the product (channels, pricing, contractual arrangements, sales structure, etc.)

・Develop operational strategy for the product (supply chain, inventory management, ordering process, maintenance services, etc.)

・Develop a business case and implementation plan based on the product strategy

・Execution of new product introduction

・Develop and implement specific promotional measures (advertising, sales promotion through sales, conference exhibits, event planning, etc.) as appropriate to the situation

・Define appropriate sales and operational KPIs based on the characteristics of the product and establish monitoring methods

・Monitor KPIs and plan and implement necessary measures in a timely manner

・Update sales forecasts for the product as appropriate, determine appropriate inventory levels, and manage inventory

Project Management
・Identify tasks required for project execution of new product introduction, identify relevant stakeholders as appropriate, classify tasks, and coordinate the assignment of appropriate personnel

・Manage project progress, risks, and issues, and lead and drive the project to progress as planned.

・Proactively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to document and visualize information and facilitate smooth communication.


・Familiarity with surgical medical device industry trends, including the competitive landscape

・Knowledge of products and procedures related to gastrointestinal (stomach and colon) surgery, respiratory surgery, gynecology, and urology

・Experience in national level KOL (equivalent to board level of a prominent academic society) management

・Experience marketing and selling large capital products (tens of millions of dollars or more per unit) or digital solutions in the medical industry

・Experience leading and managing projects across multiple departments
Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand each line item of PL and simulate return on investment

・Language skills (business level Japanese and English required) to communicate with relevant clients and internal and external departments

・Flexibility to travel or be stationed in Japan or overseas on a short-term basis
