Responsibilities :

■ A Snapshot of Your Day

As a team member in the Construction and Engineering Commodity team, you will be supporting the global order entry via early involvement in preparation of our sourcing activities based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

As part of the role, you will integrate a global team with team members in multiple locations, responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing the procurement activities related to the construction and engineering services, both on the preassembly ports and offshore.

■ How You’ll Make an Impact

・Work closely with the sales team to ensure easy availability of local market factors (price levels, regulations, local content requirements, etc.).
・Work with the Global Commodity Manager to lead contractor portfolio development activities in the local market and execute localization initiatives for expanding local footprint.
・Contribute to monthly procurement KPI and reporting activities.
・Work with project and/or sales stakeholders to consistently support total cost based decision making considering cost savings, lead times, contractor performance as well as cross functional needs.
・Ensure utilization of globally defined methodologies, processes and systems to ensure high procurement efficiency and meet each project requirement (e.g. compliant P2P processes, procurement guidelines, IT systems).
・Scope of work will include all construction services for the commodity but will be expected to support the team in the following specific commodity areas:
-Field Services (Onshore and Offshore workforce)
-Engineering Services (Statutory Inspection, Tool Calibration Services, etc.)
-Operation and Maintenance

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :

・Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business or Economics with 5+ years of work experience in project procurement/sales in wind power, construction or O&M project business, preferably with experience in contracting human resources and machine operation services.
・You have a strong understanding and specialized experience in procurement contracts for goods and services, especially in the construction services sector, with strong negotiation skills and excellent customer service skills.
・Fluent in Japanese and English.
・You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and familiarity with working in a large multi-location organization will be a major advantage. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple locations across Asia Pacific and Europe.
・Comfortable with ambiguity, experience working in a matrix organization and good at managing and prioritizing workload.
・Data-driven, with excellent negotiation and communication skills, able to get messages across concisely and efficiently.
