Responsibilities :

The IT Manager will serve as the key liaison between the IT department and local business leaders. This role involves understanding local business needs and translating them into effective IT strategies and solutions that enhance business processes and drive competitive advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

Build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor on IT matters.

Collaborate with the global IT team to align the Japan branch’s IT initiatives with the overall company strategy.

Oversee IT project implementation, ensuring they meet local business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Identify opportunities for IT to drive innovation and improve business performance.

Communicate complex IT concepts to non-IT personnel clearly and effectively.

Manage local IT vendors and partners, ensuring they meet standards and deliver value.

Ensure compliance with local and global IT policies, standards, and regulations.

Provide leadership and guidance to the local IT team, fostering their professional growth.

Work closely with BU CIOs to align on business and IT strategy.

Collaborate with the global COE team to ensure execution aligns with strategic priorities.

Required Experience / Abilities / Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in an IT leadership role, preferably within a multinational corporation.

Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and digital transformation initiatives.

Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Proven track record in managing IT projects and aligning IT services with business objectives.

Experience in vendor and stakeholder management.

Solid understanding of application landscapes, including CRM, SRM, ERP, MES, SCM, and BI.
